Frans and Sylvia de Rooij have been breeding P.R.E. horses since 1996. Our stallions and mares come from the finest lineage. We have concentrated on the Cartujano lineage, having stallions and mares that are certified 100% Cartujano.

The Cartujano lineage can be traced back to the 15th century where the Carthusian monks specialized in breeding these horses which were sold to the nobility in all of Europe.

After the foals are weaned, they spend the next 3 years in Andalusia together with the young horses of our Spanish partner breeders Jose Maria Cruces and Jose Artillo. Between 3 and 4 years, the young horses return to Belgium to be trained and sold or kept for breeding.

Our farm also offers the possibility to have your mare covered by one of our stallions. This under professional supervision of our team and veterinarian.
